Getting here
By car, Niagara sits 90 minutes south of Toronto on the QEW. GO Transit runs weekend seasonal trains and year-round buses to the Niagara Falls station. VIA Rail links Toronto and New York. From Buffalo, cross at the Peace Bridge or Rainbow Bridge.
Getting around
WEGO buses loop the Fallsview, Clifton Hill, Lundy's Lane, and Niagara Parkway corridors on a single day pass. The Falls Incline Railway connects Fallsview hotels to Table Rock. In the core, you'll walk more than you plan to.
Crossing the border
Bring a valid passport. Canadian and U.S. citizens can also use a NEXUS card or an enhanced driver's licence at land crossings. Check CBSA and CBP wait times the morning you cross. Rules change; always confirm current requirements.
When to visit
May to October is the busy, full-attraction window. Late September carries fewer crowds and warm light on the gorge. December and January bring the Winter Festival of Lights and the quietest weekday mornings at Table Rock.
